Commercial Mechanical Project Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a leading MEP contractor delivering commercial CAT A fit-out projects across London. This role will involve full responsibility for the mechanical services package, from pre-construction through to completion and handover.

The successful candidate will manage programme, cost, quality, and safety while coordinating closely with clients, consultants, and the supply chain to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard and within tight commercial programmes.

Responsible For

• Take full responsibility for the delivery of mechanical services on CAT A commercial fit-out projects

• Manage mechanical subcontractors and specialist suppliers.

• Oversee design development, coordination, and technical submissions

• Manage programme, cost control, variations, and procurement

• Coordinate mechanical services with electrical, public health, and architectural trades

• Attend client, design team, and site progress meetings

• Manage RFIs, technical queries, and design changes

• Monitor site progress, quality, and compliance with specifications

• Oversee testing, commissioning, and final handover of mechanical systems

• Ensure health & safety standards are implemented and maintained on site

Specific Skills

HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering

Proven experience delivering commercial CAT A fit-out projects in LondonBackground with an MEP or mechanical contractor

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plant rooms, ductwork, pipework, and controls

Experience managing fast-track programmes and live commercial environments

Strong commercial awareness and client-facing skills

Ability to lead site teams and manage multiple work packages
